THE SCIENCE
LED Face Mask Light Therapy activates deep cells under the skin to improve the skin’s condition using specific wavelengths. This is a non-invasive, chemical-free, painless and safe method of skincare conditioning.
The light enters the skin and is turned into intracellular energy. This kickstarts a photochemical and enzymatic reaction that triggers glycogen and protein production. This promotes cell metabolism and collagen regeneration to provide benefits in anti-ageing, acne control and skin brightening.
FAQs
Can you use an LED Mask every day?
It is safe to use an at-home LED Face mask every day. We recommend using it at at least 3-5 times a week for great results. You shouldn’t use it in the same routine as any peeling products, so you can use your days off to utilise these formulas.
Consistency is key so getting into a routine with your face mask can be the best way to see results. We expect you to see benefits within 2 weeks.
Can you use an LED Face Mask with Retinol?
Although your LED Mask does not produce harmful UV rays, light therapy can still produce reactions after retinol use due to increased sensitivity to light. But this doesn’t mean that you can’t use them in the same routine - just complete your LED Face Treatment first, then apply your Retinol formula afterwards.
Will LED Face Mask help dry skin?
LED therapy can help to reduce the inflammation caused by dryness, diminishing the redness you may see on your skin. LED Light also energises the cells which means that they are more capable when functioning, regenerating and to boost repair - this in turn will help the skin to better retain moisture. You should opt for Yellow Light to make the most of these benefits.
Will LED help my melasma?
While LED light therapy helps to address many skin concerns, it is not clinically proven to have efficacy in treating melasma. You should consult with a dermatologist to explore treatments for melasma. While it can't eradicate melasma, the Yellow light setting can help to lighten spots and brighten the skin.
Is LED Light therapy suitable for everyone?
While generally safe, certain conditions such as epilepsy, pregnancy, or photosensitivity may warrant precautions. Consultation with a healthcare professional is recommended before starting LED light therapy, especially for those with pre-existing medical conditions.
How quickly can I resume my normal skincare routine after an LED light therapy session?
There is no downtime associated with LED light therapy, and you can usually resume your regular skincare immediately after a session.
